The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is the first full-electric SUV from India’s most popular auto company, designed specifically for users seeking long range, powerful performance, and low maintenance. This car was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 and is expected to launch by December 2025. Its estimated price is between ₹17 lakh and ₹22.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Design & Size

This SUV boasts a modern and muscular design. Its closed grille, connected taillights, and octagonal LED headlights give it a bold and premium style. The 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels further enhance its attractive stance. Built on the HEARTECT-e platform, this 5-seater SUV offers 400 liters of boot space, which expands to 1000 liters with the seats folded down. Its FWD drivetrain and single-speed automatic gearbox make it easy and comfortable to drive in both city and highway conditions.

Performance & Battery

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is equipped with a 49 kWh LFP battery pack, generating 142 bhp of power and 192.5 Nm of torque. The permanent magnet synchronous motor used in this SUV provides smooth and reliable performance. This SUV offers a range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge.

Technologies like the CCS-II charging port and regenerative braking enhance charging efficiency and overall performance. It features drive modes such as ECO, NORMAL, and SPORTS, which users can select according to their driving style. Experts believe that its 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options will give tough competition to models like the Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric.

Features & Comfort

The e Vitara’s interior features a premium digital cockpit. It includes a dual-display setup, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, and a sliding and reclining rear bench, making long journeys extremely comfortable.

Ambient lighting, wireless charging, a sunroof (single-pane in the mid-variant, panoramic in the top variant), and an Infinity by Harman sound system give it a premium feel. Over 60 smart features, such as remote charging and home charger monitoring, can be controlled via the Suzuki Connect app.

Safety

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara comes equipped with 7 airbags (including a driver’s knee airbag as standard), all-wheel disc brakes, and Level 2 ADAS features for enhanced safety. Features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, and automatic emergency braking make it one of the safest SUVs in its segment.

The energy-absorbing battery mounting structure protects the battery in the event of an accident. Maruti’s 1500+ service centers will be equipped to handle EVs, making maintenance even easier.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Conclusion

The e Vitara is a significant step towards making electric mobility more affordable and practical in India. If you are considering the Hyundai Creta Electric or the MG ZS EV, Maruti’s local manufacturing, extensive service network, and competitive pricing make the e Vitara a strong contender.

Taking a test drive after its launch would be a great decision.
