The Yamaha FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 DLX continues to remain a top choice among young Indian riders. This model features a 149cc air-cooled engine that produces 12.4 PS of power and 13.3 Nm of torque.

Yamaha FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 DLX Price

Its price in Delhi starts at around ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom), while the on-road cost varies between ₹1.36 lakh and ₹1.57 lakh depending on the city. The bike delivers a fuel efficiency of 46–57 kmpl, offering excellent performance on both city roads and highways.

Design & Features

The FZ-S FI Ver 4.0 DLX comes with a muscular tank design paired with eye-catching blue alloy wheels. It includes a new LED headlight, DRLs, and LED indicators. Smart features like traction control, Bluetooth connectivity via the Y-Connect app, and a digital cluster with call/SMS alerts and a service indicator make it one of the most advanced bikes in the 150cc segment.

It is offered in six colors – Ice Fluo-Vermillion, Cyber Green, Majesty Red, Racing Blue, Matte Black, and Metallic Grey.

Engine & Performance

Powered by a refined FI engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox, the bike delivers smooth pickup and stable riding in city traffic. On highways, it comfortably reaches speeds above 100 kmph. Dual disc brakes with single-channel ABS enhance safety, while the monocross rear suspension with 120mm travel offers a balanced ride.

Users have reported getting around 56 kmpl on long rides of about 50–55 km, allowing a range of up to 750 km with its 13-liter fuel tank.

Mileage, Maintenance & User Reviews

In real-world conditions, the bike offers 40–50 kmpl in the city and 50–57 kmpl on highways. One rider shared an average of 48.7 kmpl after two months of use. Maintenance needs are minimal, engine refinement is high, though some riders find the suspension slightly firm.

With a weight of 136 kg and a seat height of 790mm, it remains comfortable for most riders.

Price & Competition

When compared to the Pulsar N150, Apache RTR 160, or Xtreme 160R, the FZ-S stands out for its refinement and fuel efficiency, even though it lags slightly in raw power. For riders prioritizing style and reliability, this bike is an excellent choice.
